Harry Reid - Racist?

Harry Reid (D-NV) has, predictably, stonewalled Roland Burris from taking his seat at the Senate.  So, this, after X-ing out all of the other black contenders leaves one to wonder: Is Senator Reid Racist?

Then again, liberals as a group are, in my opinion, racist.  It is liberals who are always trying to make tests for black and hispanic applicants, be it for school or jobs, easier.  It is liberals who see skin color before individuality, and it is liberals who always talk down to those who aren’t white.  It really makes me wonder, ‘Who are the real racists?”

I again repeat my appeal to the United States Senate: Seat Roland Burris.  As a hard-core right wing whacko, I recognize the law.  Governor Blagojevich retains, until his impeachment, the authority to appoint someone to fill a vacant Senate seat.  He has done so.  Save yourselves the embarassment of a court fight.  I am actually trying to help you slugs.

I know, I know… some of you are reading this and thinking: Democrats can’t be racist. It’s impossible.  I ask, once again, knowing what we know, who are the real racists?

Democrats: You Made Your Bed, Now Lay In It!

Well, both Illinois Democrats as well as members of the National Democrat Party were all on board with holding a special election when news broke about Rod Blagojeich’s arrest.  They all said that the people of Illinois should choose Barack Obama’s replacement in the Senate. “Give it to the people,” they said. 

Then they got to thinking.

The thought occurred to them that maybe, just maybe, if they gave the people a chance they could possibly *gasp* vote for a republican!  They couldn’t allow that to happen!

So, what do they do?  Instead of running a law through the Illinois Legislature, which we all know Blajojevich wouldn’t sign anyway, giving the right to select a new Senator back to the people, they chicken out. 

So, now, with Governor Blagojevich’s right, and duty to select a new Senator to fill Barack Obama’s vacant seat (and let’s face it, it’s been vacant for the last to years with The Messiah running for President) intact… he did just that.  He selected Roland Burris to be the next Junior Senator from Illinois.

Now, I, as many others, have questioned Mr. Burris’ judgment in accepting such an appointment.  However, I believe that the appointment is legitimate.

Governor Blagojevich, scumbag as he may be in my opinion, has been convicted of nothing.  None of his powers as Governor have been stripped.  There is absolutely nothing barring him from making such an appointment.

As such, even though I think these people are absolute slugs, I think that this appointment is legitimate.  Illinois Democrats had the chance to chance to change the rules, or at least give the appearance that they were trying to do so.  They blew it.  Roland Burris should be sworn in and seated.

Thou Dost Protest Too Much, Mr. Jackson

I was thoroughly amused with yesterday’s events.  Between Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr (D-IL) and his tearful denial of any involvement with Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s auction of the senate seat and Obama’s people denying that he knew ANYTHING about it, this really is turning into, as Rush Limbaugh has said, a sitcom.

I am away from home right now, so I’ll keep this one short.  More to come later.

Blagojevich: BUSTED!

I knew that Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich (D-IL) was a crook from day one. I never ever liked the guy, and I disliked him even more after a few of his vetoes as Governor.  Now, as a resident of Chicago, IL, we are paying the highest sales taxes in the nation.  That’s right, the highest state, county and city sales taxes and guess who controls them all… that’s right: Democrats.

Needless to say I was both amused and ashamed when I heard that the Governor of my state was arrested.  I was not, however, surprised.  I think what added salt to the wound was the fact that I was not in Illinois when I heard it, I heard it over the radio in Indianapolis.

The facts are spread out all over the internet right now, and it is pretty much the hottest story, so I need not get into the gory details.  However, I do have a message for Governor Blagojevich:  You probably don’t remember me, but I remember meeting you at the Hinsdale Oasis a few years ago.  I have the same thing to say to you today that I told you to your face that day: You’re an asshole.

Now, I had a sneaking suspicion that Dick Durbin (D-IL) was asking GW Bush for a commutation for George Ryan for a reason, and my suspicion was that it would make it easier for him to ask Obama for a pardon for Blagojevich… I never imagined he’d need it so soon.
