Of The Global State Of America
And to The Commune
For which he stands

Without God
With Tyranny
And Welfare
For all!

Vladimir V. Putin and the state security services (Read: KGB) of Russia have seen fit to harass and investigate a corporation for an incident for which it was already absolved of all culpability. Read the full story here.Â
Here is the short version: The Russian Government wants to take control of as much private sector business as possible. The news article even states that: Mr. Putin, the former president and current prime minister, has long maintained that Russia made a colossal error in the 1990s by allowing its enormous reserves of oil, gas and other natural resources to fall into private hands. Mr. Putin and the rest of his ilk have been trying desperately to get their hands back on it since coming to power.
So, what does this have to do with us? Well, take a look at the situation in this country. Liberal elected officials are using our current economic crisis to try to dictate to PRIVATE SECTOR corporations how they should run their business. These are people who have never themselves run a business, many of whom have never even had real jobs.
These people aren’t even fully in power yet and the grab for the private sector has already begun.Â
I believe that manufacturing, especially in the automotive sector, is vitally important to the American economy. I further believe that the collapse of these companies would be catastrophic. I do not believe that some of the insane ideas being floated by the left are helpful to anyone. I had the misfortune of listening to a liberal talk show host today. He complained that the Chevy Volt is taking too long to come to production and he wants to see its immediate wide release NOW. Right, now a lawyer with a microphone knows how to run a car company.Â
I do not support Government bailouts or loans of any kind to any private business. It just gives more power to the Government to try to dictate how these businesses are run.
However, since the Government CAUSED all of these problems, then they should pay for them.
But… but… how did the Government cause all these problems??
By forcing financial institutions to give loans to people who could not afford to pay them back, the Government has created the mortgage crisis. These loans were made when no one in their right mind would underwrite them. But the Government, in its infinite wisdom, had deternined that owning a home is a right, and not something that is to be worked for. The banks had little choice.
As for the auto industry… well, that’s more of a management error. Serisously, who signs a contract that states, in essense: “We will continue to pay workers that we lay off. These workers sit at home and do nothing but continue to collect a paycheck.” Get real.
Yes, I support the worker. I am a blue collar truck driver by day. I do not support the unions. HEY! That’s a neat trick I learned from the liberals!
